SciFi and Fantasy Art Euridice (nymph) by Chael Gunnell


	Here is a pic with a greek mythology theme. Originally I intended her to be Euridice, of the popular myth 'Orpheus and Euridice.' It was drawn for my life drawing class, and is from real life observation (with plenty of my own additions and artistic liberties of course). Conte crayon and charcoal sticks baby! I'm pleased with the lighting and drapery.

10 Nov 2007	M. Bram	Loading... This is beautiful. There is a def greek feel too it. I actually think her legs and toes are fine. I do think her right leg could do that, turning in from the knees like that. mine naturally do a little. Maybe i just have messed up legs. XD. Anyway, great attention to detail, specially on her toes!

16 Jun 2008	Amanda . Shantz	Loading... I really like the greek mythology theme to it. The lighting is amazingly perfect I find that’s one of my biggest troubles. i just love the expression to her like she reminds me of a female heroine someone courageous and brave. The emotion is impressive.

2 Jun 2010	Natalie Adams	Loading... oh that is just incredible! i have just finished a 4 week life drawing course at college, and i really enjoyed it, but you caught such a unique energu in her stance and face, just beautiful. she really is alive. i must admit i am a teeny - okay a lot - envious, but i know my limits! i love conte pencils, they are so much more controllable than charocal or chalk sticks.
