(a star shines upon the hour of our meeting) -Lizz- Charis M. Ellison replies: "Eek! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply! I had a bad case of the dreaded 'computer troubles'. It was evil. Thank you for visiting! Yes, my dad is the best I haven't read all of the Sil yet, though."
| 14 Jun 2003 | Kim 'whimsycallie' Cherry | Loading...Hello. Stopped by. Read several of your works, put the rest on my to do list. *smile* You have a wonderful way with fairy tales. My own pitiful attempt (coming soon... stuck in the queue) pales by comparison... So, I am not comparing and just chalking it up to different styles. I will comment on some of the individual works next time I visit. Nice to meet you. Charis M. Ellison replies: "Hey Kim! Nice to have you visit. (Sorry to be so behind on replying to my comments...eek!) I hope to get over to your page soon, and do please come visit again!" | |

| 22 Jan 2004 | Alyra | Loading...I wrote you a comment here. I'm sure I did. It has, of course, disappeared from the earth and internet.
Oh well.
Anyway, back to the purpose of coming here: I absolutely love, love, LOVE your stories. They are Worthy Of My Adoration. This counts for a lot. You definately have recieved more than your share of Tolkien's skill.
This is from a Readervillian, in case you haven't guessed. ; )
| 3 Jun 2004 | Suzannah Rowntree | Loading...P.P.S. You would love Edmund Spenser, love him. Get a copy and read, read. The Faerie Queene, available online...must remember to get the Orlando Furioso online too, I've only read the Bullfinch version. | |
| 3 Jun 2004 | Suzannah Rowntree | Loading...Pleeaase let me introduce myself... I am a 16-year-old Australian girl, from Colac in Victoria if you really want to know. I also adore Tolkien (abject groveling) I also doodle art (rather awful) I also love to write (probably not as well as you). Let me say in passing I adore your name. Where was I? Yes...I also am a bibliophile, I also like cats, and I wish I'd thought of calling one Gawaine or Gandalf...btw there's a Gawaine story on my shelf, he's my favourite knight and even le Morte D'Arthur didn't make me hate him. I'm the second eldest from a family of 6, the eldest girl. Homeschooled. Christian, too. (Know how I guessed? Simple really. And the name Charis gave it away big time...go us). Anyway. Please be nice and look at my stuff too and leave nice comments etc. I haven't had a comment all week *sobs*. Sorry, I am being really illmannered telling you my life story like this, but I thought you might like to know. Cheers Suzy. (P.S. Heard of John Buchan? Great writer. Really great writer.) | |
| 28 Nov 2004 | Alison *Alene* Mutton | Loading...Well, to find someone who writes the way I like, and appears to like the music and films I like, is rather amazing! (Yes, I went to your site, in the hopes of finding more of your beauty and the beast retelling, only to collapse on the keyboard when I discovered that there was actually LESS there than there is here *snarls*) Anyway, great shelf you have here, and I have bookmarked your site so that I may come back again! =D Charis M. Ellison replies: "Thank you! Aiee, I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply! I'm terrible--I never seem to reply to any comments until at least six months to a year after I receive them! It's probably because I'm so scatterbrained. But thank you for visiting! (and I am sorry about the B&B story being so incomplete...I haven't worked on it in years, actually. I do intend to revise it heavily and finish it, which means in the near future I'll be removing it from this page...I just haven't had the heart to, yet)." | |
| 12 Jan 2005 | Charis | Loading...Lol hey i was doing a routine ego search and lo-and-behold it came up with you... ANOTHER Charis. We are a rare breed, with an even rarer name..... ahhhh as the greek says we are "full of Grace"..... even when we walk into lamposts "love preceeds us" i would say my personality preceeds me, not in the good sense though. Im also a writer, struggling in this "your a child, you cant do anything" world..... and my work is bad... which is why i love it so. Charis M. Ellison replies: "Yes, I would say that the world needs more Charises, but then we wouldn't be so rare, would we? It's amazing how many comments I've gotten on this page from other people named Charis (a whole three, I think). I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply! But it was lovely to hear from you, thanks for visiting my little shelf!" | |
