It's always so interesting to see how artists interpret "Fantasy" and "mythical" creatures, because there's really no "right" or "wrong", but the drawings still need to be believable. You've done an EXCELLENT job at this!Oh, I love it! The detail...uufff....::jealousy:: Awesome art here; keep it up!
Historical re-enactments? Cool! Just thought I'd drop in and say hi to all my fellow artists of Gallery 1254!

I did one too, but, I like to tinker a lot with tradition by incorporating real science into my critter art..You'd think I would be a better artist by now wouldn't you? *hehe* In my research, I discovered that a gryphon's wings should be mounted afore of the front legs because the wings are, in fact, the front limbs of the bird half of the trad-Gryph. I derived a complex double scapula for this purpose that makes more sense than the usual fantasy approach. I think I should finish the revamp work on the skeleton..my original drawing had the wings too short...(See the Aquilleon life drawing). But, All things considered, Your efforts are very good looking....=^-^= | |
