It's my nicest mermaid to date. I did it at around 10 p.m. It took about 2 hours. I think she's nice, she's...special, let's say a bit more adapted to her environment than some other versions of a mermaid.

oh...and the 'mustache' are sensors; Like the cat fish or the gourami...I shouldn've darkened them...

Faaabulous! Love the lavish, elegant feeling of the tail! Great detail there! I must agree, its nice to see a mermaid that's not all T and A.

Wooowy, that's one refreshing mermaid ^^
We should see more of these on Elfwood! (especially in your gallery off course ^_~)

I like how she's actually fishlike.
I tried doing a mermaid.. But she ended up being too much like a human, the only difference having a tail.
This is a better outlook.
10/10

2 Katherine Deros replies: "Yea, but I like every type of mermaid out there, I'm not trying to offense anyone who draws any other type of mermaids! I like 'em all ^.^ I just tried out something new to me... The mermaid on your gallery, the one called 'water' is quite nice though! You'll have opportunities to draw some more anytime, I'm sure!! don't give up the good work 12 Thanx for commenting lol"

Wow, her tail is beautiful! And she looks more fish-like and water-adapted than the more traditional mermaids that probably wouldn't survive that well underwater, now would they 10 I like this! The webbed fingers are also a nice touch~ ^.^

7 Katherine Deros replies: "You have an eye for details huh? Thanx for all the comments in here, I really enjoy them a lot!! And keep writing 1 Cheers!!"

Okay hands up, who loves mermaids? I DO! *raises her hands* I adore her tail and her whole design. I really like those "mustache"! So funny but it fits perfectly. Over all beautiful mermaid.^^ she must be popular among the mermans..12

14 Katherine Deros replies: "Lol that's a cute comment 14 Thank you so much! I should try and draw another one, then. She does get some attention after all ;D"

Very nice. Are you planning on colouring it?

55 Katherine Deros replies: "Hmm... I tried coloring it once and failed miserably. I think I'll leave it like that; I'm satisfied enough for now ^.^ Cheers to you and thanx for the commenst!"

I also like merfolk that look more like fish then people, very well done. I like her whiskers too 2

36 Katherine Deros replies: "Great! I’ll eventually try my hand at another one, whenever I feel like it 14 Thank you!"

I really like the style you’ve given to her. Most people always try to feminine-ize their mermaids when, if you think about actual fish, it’s the males that are really flashy and the females that are plainer ... so it’s great to see a female like this, looking more adapted to her environment - after all, she’d be the one raising the little ones so she’d better be well adapted to taking care of them. I love the design for her tail as well, really draws the eye.

:-) Katherine Deros replies: "Aww thank you so much for the insightful comment! 1 lol I should draw some more, they’re fun little buggers ^.^"

i really like this one, mostly because it’s different!!!!! I like the mustache too, it looks cool!!! and as everyone has said before me, she would survive better than the others!!! great pic!!!

:-) Katherine Deros replies: "yayz! thank yoooo *huge grin* "
