You've captured the essence of the wind here perfectly, the way her clothes and hair is swept back...btw, did you use yellow paper, or did you edit it on a computer? Katherine Deros replies: "It's some yellowish paper lol, I didn't touch that one on the computer except for the signature! Thanx!! ^.^" | |

| 18 Mar 2007 | Sandy L. Bevans | Loading...Gah! you got the whole perspective thing >.> thats like one of the biggest problems i have when drawing scenes. you do it very well! congrats! you are wonderful ^^ laters ^^ ~Sandy Katherine Deros replies: "Hahah! I am wonderful...Thank u thank u lol, I apreciate it ^.^(Perspective is a pain!) It started out with a piece of cloth, and from it I did the dress and other features...And I didn't want to do a face, so I concentrated on the rest. After that, I thought it needed a source for the movement, and had a flashback of when I went to Niagara Falls... voila! Keep in touch!! " | |
| 13 Apr 2007 | Joel barkley | Loading...Love the perspective on this piece! Have you ever checked out Arthur Rackham? He was an illustrator from the late 1800s. Your work has the same delicate lines and elegant movement. I wish that I had your observation skills and talent when I was 15! Don't ever stop! OK I'll stop. This is me stopping. Katherine Deros replies: "Lolz. Thanx! The name Rackham flashes a light bulb in my head, but I don't remember any of his work^.^ I'll check him out, then " | |
| 15 Apr 2007 | Rebecca Sennett | Loading...I see it like a fairy-ghost This pose is so original (I know other people have said that, but it is!), and she just looks so... unnoticing? Oblivious, I think, is a better world. So wrapped up in what she's thinking that she doesn't notice the danger ahead. Although, if she's a fairy-ghost, it wouldn't matter She could just... float off the edge! The flow of the dress, and where it touches the water and all of that is superb, and a pleasure to look at. Please, please keep this up xx Katherine Deros replies: "Heya! Of course I will. I'm still really proud of the effect I got with the pic, it's a long time fav. Thanx a lot!!" | |
| 27 Apr 2007 | Tabitha G. Andrews | Loading...I love the feel of this piece... its mysterious but not distant, its flow works well, that is to say your concept of consistant wind direction is fabulous. I love this piece. Katherine Deros replies: "Whoa!! Thanks a bunch!! ^.^" | |
| 11 May 2007 | Kelly Angel | Loading...Wow, this is awesome!! It has a really great sense of movement and the folds in the dress are grandeee Katherine Deros replies: "Kool!! Glad u like it " | |
| 3 Jun 2007 | Raquel Tabitha Boyce | Loading...It's a very creative idea. Who would think of a fairy standing on the water and gazing out at the scenery from her point of view? Katherine Deros replies: "hmm...I have! I've just finished a new pencil drawing of the same type, except it's a singing fairy, in a place that roughly looks like the grand canyons. It's more detailed and looks better than this one, I'll clean it up a bit and upload it here soon. I've made some progress! yay ^.^" | |
| 21 Nov 2007 | Ines Knaster | Loading...I really like it and I don't think it needs colours. It's beautiful like this!^^ Somehow very dramatic and beautiful picture. *gives an apple and dances away* Katherine Deros replies: "Hey thank you for that ^.^ But I did abandon the idea of coloring that anyways; I can't seem to get anything done for awhile now...my gallery's been held at a vegetate state for awhile now lollz ^.^'' Cheers to you!" | |
