As the monsters swarmed in around them, they fought desperately, sword met talons, arrows met scales. It seemed that there would be no sunrise for these two. As he raised his sword above his head for another blow, it caught, and there was a ripping sound. He turned, and saw a hole. It looked as though the very air itself had been torn. As he watched a stray arrow pierced the air and made another hole. He quickly made a decision and started slicing at the ragged hole, praying that he had found their way out of this massacre.
