The Smiling Troll
The troll’s a sweet and cuddly fellow
His eyes of black and teeth of yellow
The features odd and manners queer
With button eyes and bright red hair
They cluster round the magic shops
And beckon you from wooded lots
With trusting smile to rest a while
And share a meal in friendly style
But Tolkien (well known of old)
He knew his troll if truth be told
The troll that gambols in the field
And shyly begs to share a meal
Will shortly dine on thee now,
See now? Hee now!
The troll that gambols in the field
And shyly begs to share a meal
Will shortly dine on thee now!
