| 13 May 2005 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | Loading...That is sooo cute... Look at him - he's smiling !!! Cheryl L Berube replies: "Thank you muchly for your comments! I appreciate them. Sometimes, when i draw something I have a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do with the image. I wanted to make him seem sensate (that is, having interpretable emotions and human like feelings) but not anthropomorphic (a human in the shape of an animal). I'm glad that you appreciated this pic. He looks like he might be smiling a little. " | |
| 13 May 2005 | Kenneth Fugleberg | Loading...Wow.. I like the feeling of this picture ^_^ This is really good.. Cheryl L Berube replies: "Thank you! I try to put some sort of emotional content in my pics to make them more interesting to me. I appreciate your comments. " | |
| 14 May 2005 | Rochelle Green | Loading...The unicorn looks sad to me, so while this might be a heart-warming image to others, I think it speaks of a loss of some sort. As if one of them is going away... Cheryl L Berube replies: "Thanks, Rochelle. There does seem to be a wistful sadness in the scene, no? They may be saying goodbye to each other, but he is happy about their friendship I think..." | |
| 24 May 2005 | Kamille Freske | Loading...This is so beautiful. So sweet and innocent and happy. I love it. I really like the unicorns face and both their expressions. You did a wonderful job with emotions. The background is very nice too. Cheryl L Berube replies: "Thank you! I was trying to darken up the background as much as possible. Sometimes I like doing the background more than the main subject! XD" | |

| 22 Nov 2005 | Jessica 'Blue Thanatopsis' Stachyra | Loading...Love the shading, has a very realistic, soft look to it, nicely done!!! And the background, too, love how it's a "complete" picture, like a photograph. And like said above, great incorporation of emotions. One thing - the nymphs face does not look quite right, the features seem to be squished together and the cheeck is way too big, the jaw a bit too square...I can't quite place my finger on it, but something about it loks a bit odd. A thousand times better than anything i could do now. A very lovely picture, flows well and has great composition and shading. | |
