| 6 Apr 2003 | Carol W. Wu | Loading...Very nice shading. There is a lot of detail but as aforementioned it has a feeling of simplicity...by understating the situation, you have actually emphasized it. Nice job^^) H. Ching replies: "Detailed yet simple. Hmmmm ... " | |
| 6 Apr 2003 | Carolyn Anderson | Loading...wow. kinda frightening its all the more powerful in its simplicity (lack of "busy-ness") Keep it up! H. Ching replies: "You mean lack of action?" | |
| 22 Apr 2003 | Yang S. | Loading...Wow! I love your shading and the amount of detail in this piece! Great work! I like the trees in the background too! Warhead? Cool . . . H. Ching replies: "Cool nuke warhead? Hahaha!" | |
| 1 Jun 2003 | Dr. Psycho | Loading...The title is all too apt. As with the atomic howitzer pic, I feel a chill inside as I look upon this scene of calm, technically proficient evil. I count myself a traumatized veteran of the Cold War, and am happy to have traded the grim inevitability of doom which was the 20th Century (1914-1989) for the chaos of the current period. H. Ching replies: "Cold War veteran? You've been in the Vietnam War or something?" | |
| 25 Nov 2005 | Stephen McCarroll | Loading...Hahah, cold war veteran, thats a good one. dont even get me started because i just finished studying the cold war. everyone in the world between that time and who made it through absolutely nothing is a veteran? hahah..good one. sorry for interupting your gallery i really do love all of your stuff XD very thought provoking and excellentay -with a post this long i expect a decent one back *hint hint. nudge nudge. wink wink* thats if the mods every get round to publishing my stuff... ill be on my way H. Ching replies: "Your sentence structure is a bit hard to understand, but I presume you think that absolutely nothing happened during the Cold War? Is that what they taught you at school? It essentially dictated global diplomacy for decades. Wars like Korean and Vietnam Wars were the direct result of the Cold War. Numerous international borders were drawn during this period. Billions were spent on arms race while simultaneously there were complex negotiations to prevent the use of nukes. And you are telling me absolutely nothing happened during the Cold War?
Just finished studying the Cold War? No need to flash your qualifications; what's important is whether if your points are valid. Besides assuming your study of Cold War is high school level, it's nothing to show off about since it's basic education. Even if you majored in this field doesn't make you an authoritative figure.
I welcome your post here, but you "expect" a "decent" one in return? If your stuff impresses me I'll comment regardless, but don't expect comments from me. If you got something to say about my works, I'll certainly listen. But I don't beg for or trade comments. " | |
