Some sort of bird creature - it is supposed to be rather androgynous, by the way. I'm not exactly sure what it's doing!

Wow, reminds me of the Chozo from Metroid, I love Metroid games! ^^ I really like the style you did for this, it's really cool. I think what I like most is it's face.

Get ready for a really loooong comment.First of all really nice concept! I have'nt seen one of these yet(no offence to other Elfwood artists I haven't seen all of your work!) The hues are really astonishing ! I never can get the light balance right when I'm drawing. It looks about early morning..or dawn. It looks like his reeling back revelling in his newfound freedom. Joyfully embracing the light of dawn without whatever bars held him blocking the glourious view. The wind rippling across his feathered head and the warmth of the approching sun.*trails off* Sorry if I got a little carried away. The clouds look really dark, perhaps shadowing the evil that lurks in damp, clammy dungeons? amidst craggy peaks of sulphur and black marble. The Tower of evil and slavery giving off a stench that the rocks generate themselves as the pittiful wails of the newly enslavened realise they're fate?
Cheers,

My way of seeing it from the person who would rather be a bird....The girl is letting herself go free to fly in the wind over the ocean and such... I love it all the same!!

breaking free of his human shell, that has trapped him for so long - taking his destined form of the Free Soul and flying on glorious wings into an eternal sunrise.....*sigh*

its like a human breaking from the chains of being land bound. turning into a bird as a result. however he had to get through the clouds to reach the sunshine. lovely picture, good job.
