Something possesses the inner hearts of all creatures. In the heart of the Nephandi - the dark necromantic mage, one would expect to find nothing but darkness... Yet in the heart of a particular Drowish Nephandi is a young elven boy, lost in a forest of darkness with but one guiding light.
Perhaps this lost elf represents the inner child of the dark necromancer, Xaroc.. Keeper of Ravens. Though little is known of him, and it may very well 'til the day the ravens come..

Nice job on capturing both the expression and emotion. ^_^ The background also helps to set the mournful mood. Nicely done. ^_^ Heather R. Davis replies: "You make it all the more tempting for me to put up the dark drow in whom this elf resides."
30 Oct 2003	Eric	Loading... For some reason, this child looks like Link, our hero of time. Anyway, the background is sad. The ambience is sad, the character is sad. Makes me have a heavy heart. Good artists do that, they make the viewer change sentiment upon viewing the art. Heather R. Davis replies: "Link?! Hm.. But he is so different in many ways! Though it wouldn't surprise me if this little elven boy came from Hyrule. It's possible! Except he's already got a story now. grin I'm glad he has an emotional impact on you. The only thing better than seeing a person openly and loudly express their amazement with my work, is to touch them so powerfully that it can almost render them speechless."

Davis replies: " Whilst it's not personally my favourite, I'm glad it's amongst yours! It was made in a cheaper programme, but I absolutely love the way it came out and wouldn't change a thing about it. It's abstract in a sense... Which is why I finally decided that instead of being my nameless elf, he could be my dark drow's younger self! (I made a rhyme!) Thanks, Alex! "
