Are you sure it’s original, and not a modern rehash of Frodo with the Light of Earendil in Shelob’s Lair? Because that’s what I got when I looked at it.

I’m a huge fan of LotR and I love the idea of an ancient cave spider weaveing webs of shadow and gorging on the blood of men and elves, it’s certainly a powerful image and I’m sure it was in the back of my mind when making this piece, and the composition of a vunerable character in the dark with a sudden light source that illuminates previously unseen danger is not a new concept but it’s one I like...maybe I should do a Shelob inspired painting, could be fun...spiders are creepy17

I am in love with your art.
Her expression, her skin tones, the lighting...it’s perfect! The whole story behind this intrigues me, but i wonder if she knows those scary looking creatures are there16?
That crystal is so beautiful, i also love the tendril of glowing slime(?)...it’s so magical!
