I think you're very talented and I'd employ you if I was in a position to do so, but there are some things you may want to consider.
You have a very keen eye for details/reflections and all that but the composition and color could be clearer.
keep in mind what the focus of the image is. If you got clouds in the background that are highly detailed, and they have a tonal value equal to the foreground figure (and in the image that I'm thinking of they are even the same color), then that will flatten the image considerably, and you don't want that, do you?
Basically, some of your work is hard to look at because of the color choices and the composition.
It's not the level of detail, but the tonal value of the color and the position.
I don't know what kind of proses u normally follow when designing your illustrations, but somewhere in there you might want to ad a stage where you test the tonal values of the colors ( Just change the image from color to B&W in photoshop, or whatever, and see what stands out and what gets lost, then make changes accordingly.
I'm guessing here, but would you be a Boris V. fan?
If so, take not of the simple clear layouts that he uses, you don't have to go to that extreme, just figure out what works better for you.
Did I forget to mention that I really do like your work, cause I do *please don't hit me*
