She sticks her hand out of the water in longing, for something she knows she never will attain. For both do truly live in separate, and distinctly different worlds. Well done.

| 13 Jan 2005 | Desirae | Loading...Hi Christy I just wanted to say that I loved all your works. I've looked through your entire gallery and I must say that for some reason this picture here "A song" touched me. I write stories, although I have not posted any of them here not yet brave enough to do so. I was wondering if you would mind if I wrote something small just a short story to match this picture. I would of course send it to you, and not use it after words if you did not wish me too. But I'd really appreicate it if you could give me permission this story I have is just itching to come out its yelling at me and it hurts. So I have added my email address if you would like to email me. Thanks and God Bless, keep up the good work Desirae Christy Babrick replies: "Thank you, Desirae. You are welcome to write the story, I'm happy to hear the picture inspired you!" | |

| 14 Jan 2005 | Cristy Ann Ballard | Loading...Interesting use of color to convey mood. I really like how you did the underwater portion of this picture. It looks soft and murky, bluring details just as real water does. her top looks like it might pop off any minute, though. He he. | |

The only possible flaw I can see, is that it seems like the mermaid is much larger than the man, but that may be a perspective or water-distortion effect I'm just not picking up on.
| 27 Dec 2005 | Stacy | Loading...Wow Christy, your art is great! I've look through your gallery and like all, but I especially like the mermaid pictures. This picture in particular, reminds me of the same feeling I have when I look at the N.C.Wyeth painting (The Giant). Thanks for sharing them. | |
