Islamic art was the main inspiration for this one. I also wanted to work more with ink and marker after finishing 'The Gypsy'. This is the largest picture at 18X24 inches, so it probably looks a bit fuzzy. Completed about three years ago as part of a series of works inspired by the art of different cultures.

Hi!This is excellent.looks like you have the patience to do miniatures(I love stating the obvious XD)
anyways...Being a Pakistani(a land between Iran/persia and India) this reminds me of a mughal miniature.Mughal miniatures are pretty much a mix of indian and persian art.

This is just so fantastic...just like ALL your other pics...
you are extremely skilled and talented!1

I love this! I studied Alexander the Great and then Islam this year at school, so this is sort of familiar 12 It's also beautiful. You are a very talented artist.

This must have been an elaborate drawing!!! Look at those details and fine colouring... they're LOVELY. It's good to see a western Asian art like this. Quite rare in the Elfwood, you know.

I don't know a lot about other cultures, but this does look very Indian. The only reason I know that is because there are a lot of Indians here (North Georgia) and I have worked with/gone to school with a lot of them. It's a very interesting and colorful culture. I went to an Indian party and you wouldn't believe how pretty their clothes are! The food was really spicy and good, though a lot of the westerners were begging for "real" food by the end of the night. Anyway, that has nothing to do with your art. Sorry. I do like this alot. You should do something Egyptian.
