SciFi and Fantasy Art Mommy...? by Christy Schott

Well, here is a disturbing little peice that I created in homage to a lot of different things. I was mainly inspired by Goldenboy's tune 'Rippin Kittin' and the Misfits 'Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight'. Also thrown into the mix is American McGhee's Alice, the Brady Bunch from X-Files, Claudia from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and just about all the kids from the Village of the Damned movie.

This picture took me quite a few days to finish, working on it off and on until I got tired of working on it. I wanted it to try for a little bit of realism, but also add kind of a distorted old horror movie meets Alice In Wonderland sort of feel.

Poser 4, Bryce 5, and Photoshop 6 with the Eye Candy plugins were used to create this piece. The original size of this is 20x16 inches, so when I had to shrink it down to fit and compress it in jpg it got really, really dark. Oh well. Perhaps when I get my website up, I'll put up a higher quality version.
