Dorgan reached into the void, reaching for for him as he was dragged down into the demonic realm.
He looked up and struggled, reaching for the paladin's outstretched hand. A look of pure terror was on his face. 'Dorgan! Please, help me!!'
Dorgan was crushed, he was so close, but he couldn't save him...

'Never should have traded
power for my own immortal soul...'

An updated picture, based on C. Metzen's poem 'The Adept'.
One thing a paladin has trouble facing is losing someone to damnation. Dorgan watches helplessly as someone he was trying to help be chained and dragged down into the demon realm. Why is he being taken? The draconain (unnamed right now) was tricked into trading his soul for power to take revenge on his friends. Dorgan was trying to help him break away from this, but the demons decided it was time to collect. The unfortunate consequences.

This is mixed media, the characters were done in Prismacolor pencils, while the background was done in Photoshop. The lighting effects were done my friend Dark Phoenix. The dark figure in the upper right corner is actually a head shot of an action figure which works for the effect.
