  | If there's one thing about artwork based on mythology that bugs me, it's the million interpretations of Grendel. Half the art out there depicts him as some sort of dragon or draconic creature (which he isn't, Beowulf fights a real dragon later on), and the other half shows him as a hulking ogrish- (or even Gollumish-) looking humanoid brute. So when I set down to do my own version of him, I figured, what the heck, I'll do both. What you see below is the result. Ballpoint pen on sketch paper. |
