I don't want to seem like I'm ripping your art to peices but the lips are a bit girlish. But the eyes show the emotion well. And the ears, I'm horrible with ears but yours are good. I think the reason the head looks boxy even though he's wearing a flat topped haircut is that in general the eyes are at about the midpoint on the head when facing you full front. With his head tilted down like that his eyes should be slightly below the point halfway between the top of his head and the bottom of his chin. The top of his head's just a bit short I think...
