Both the subject and the perspective are unusual, and interesting as well. However, while it may be that I am not seeing the foreshortening clearly, it seems to me that the eyes of the main figure are at a slightly different angle than his mouth. Christopher A Malidore replies: "Though I do not have the image next to me I'd imagine you're correct. Good eye, that attention to detail truly helps a lot when I go over my work and figure out what to work on. Thanks!"

I've been drawing for 43 years and your art work far surpasses my own. It's excellent!! Christopher A Malidore replies: "Thank you Wayne, that is quite the compliment "

You have a gift, put it to the best use you can! Christopher A Malidore replies: "Thanks Adam, I really appreciate that. I will certainly be pursuing art as a career, you all can't get rid of me that easily "

Different sources of lighting is something very difficult to depict, but you did it. Cheers Christopher A Malidore replies: "That image is probably about a year old now I guess. It's still one of my favorites if I had to choose any. Thank you heavily Paul, your comment means a lot to me "

Say, would you mind stopping by my gallery and giving me some advice? Christopher A Malidore replies: "I'll see what I can do Hannah! Thank you muchly on the compliments, I do love perspective and I love graphite more ."

You're use of graphite is wonderful! And all the items around him are great, too! GreatJob!!! Don't let anyone get you down! Go for the art! Christopher A Malidore replies: "Well it should have taken about two days truthfully, but I lost motivation part way through and got lazy - making it take longer. Expect a sequel to this later this winter, possibly early spring . Thank you muchly."

Your shading is amazing, i think i know what technique u use to get pictures like that, but im not positive, because im not very good at it myself. Interesting perspective, i like it... Christopher A Malidore replies: "Hmm it's hard to say what sort of technique I use but let me see if I can sort it out. I basically sketch out a little outline and then start illustrating the light patterns more than anything else. I used a mechanical pencil for most of this if I recall correctly, but some minor smudging was probably involved. Sorry to say I don't remember the best as it was over a year ago."

Or just seen it - I don't know, and if the latter is true, I make amends now. I know I should try to give some of the magical Contructive Critism, but I can't really find anything to be constructive on. I just like the whole of it: the pose, the light, the perspective (oh, the foreshortening!), and I'm green with envy. I can't even pretend that it's all because you're older than me or anything. Bother! This is just Dark-elves like I see them. If you find the time, please take a minute to drop by my little ill-kept gallery and see what you think. Please? Christopher A Malidore replies: "Heeey Sara, got a quiz for ya - who said this on January 7, 2004:
"*Gasps* This is absolutely wonderful... *looks at the forshortening, blinks and look again* I'm too impressed to find anything intelligent to say. And the light too! *stares some more*"
Yep! That was you! No worries though, I love return commenters. Thank you very much for lightening my mood tonight - which I very much needed lol. I'll pop by within the next few days "

Christopher A Malidore replies: "Drow politics are a bit boring for me honestly - while they can be fun at times.... for the most part they're much too one dimentional and very easy to guess what's going to happen. Not so chaotic as they suggest because you always know that the moment you do something dumb - you're dead. But hey, I do get in the right mood sometimes for the morbid stuff so I can't complain too much "
