Welcome to Elfwood! (believe me, it's just one biiig waiting queue!) Good to see that talented artists join this site. And here's my offer: I bookmarked your gallery. I will visit it every once in a while and look for bad compositions, boring colors, wrong anatomy, screwed up proportions, ugly faces and unrealistic poses. For now, I couldn't find any of these and I have to state the fact, that your characters are really cute. And without being much of a foot fetishist, I was impressed by the sexy legs you draw. Keep up the good work and...draw more! Brian S. Coleman replies: "Awesome, you are exactly the type of person I need. Honest and helpful. Believe me, Im going to try really hard to churn out pieces as often as I can, with no shortage of leggy lasses."

I am not personally a big fan of comic-book style art, but you certainly do it well! Especially "Hunting the Phoenix" looks like a good comic-book pic, with the screen filled with detail and with exaggerated poses (especially by the dragon) to show movement. I know you said that your work is deliberately unfinished, but I do think that finishing the shading and coloring would make the pics better. Doing so would also draw more comments, as you seem to be drawing the basic faces and poses pretty well already, but completed pics would draw more visitors to your gallery. Also, if you want to do comic-style art, it's usually best to put several characters interacting with each other in a picture; in comics, the characters are always doing something, and not just posing and looking pretty -- though your ladies are quite good at looking pretty! Brian S. Coleman replies: "Thanks, and I agree about the comic setup. I just havent put multiple characters in a picture for fear of ruining one of them. I'm kinda past that now and will definately have some multiple character shots with interaction between them. I've recieved enough positive feedback about the basic forms of the pictures that I don't think I'll be leaving the next ones unfinished."
That's some great art. I like your pictures and especially your dragon though I don't know if it's technically your best piece. Anyhow, keep it up and let your gallery grow.
Excellent!!! Your work has a nice, light comic book look and feel to it If you keep this up, you'll be working in the comic industry soon! Lovely stuff, Brian! Looking forward to see more of your work soon
You say that drawing is you job... Let's see more of this awesome stuff!

Don't know if you'll ever read this, but I'll post it anyway. I think that your artwork is very well presented and if you are striving to get better, I believe your on the right path to perfection.
Now about your bio, you mentioned something about 17 year-olds. I don't exactly know what you were trying to point out, however if it is about the same topic as "why are some of them just so darn good" I would have to agree with you. I have seen 16 year-olds with talent to match any 32 year-old professional artist. I just simply can't believe it. I mean I'm only going on to 16 in two weeks and I draw pretty well for my age, but these people... impossible.

Your newer stuff is looking good. I think you could sell some of it at comic shops, renaissance faires, online (CafePress/Zazzle and the like), though you won’t get much in the way of bill-paying funds yet at least it would start getting you out there.
The other thing -have you considered drawing personalized characters for people? I know I’d pay you to draw a character for my husband, he’s a D&D nut.
