Me is also from the spammers here and Im going to tell you probably the same as all have done so far, but please: DO NOT BELIEVE THOSE ANONYMOUS DORKS!! They have not even the guts to leave their emailadress with you so dont spend attention to the comments and delete them! Your beautiful work doesnt deserve those things! Let it be said: I like your gallery very very much and yes, offcourse, we all started small, but Hey! KICK THOSE BASTARDS HARD! Your going to grow big here! You have talent girl! USE IT TO FIGHT BACK! | |
| 18 Jul 2003 | Joeieburns | Loading...I Would like to offer a contest of will with your Flamers, I dare you to come over to my elfwood and leave a comment, I dare you! WHy do I dare you? Cause you are oviously non talent not good brats who dont have the grit to get up off your own self pitty pool and go after someone who is already peeved off by Flamers that she has weapons of mass destruction to take you out. I am also a teacher of art Constance, I know I am a bit odd and young for this, but I have been teaching others art for years, since I was about 17 years old. But now I really do teach, and MY Dear, you are showing brilliant signs of an artist, you have an eye for drawing, you are 13 about the same age I was when I began. And dear YOU draw better than I did at that time...I have the old stuff to prove it...
Tell you the truth I want you to go into Extranet and delete all those bad messages, and any new ones that come threw. I know they hurt to some degree, we all want to be loved and cherished in ways that we deserve, just remember these are kids from your school who are trying to anger you, and trying to make you have an reaction so that they can talk about it. So from now on Sweetie, please just delete them, and we shall all go on from here...You are a darling girl with such grand potential. I am proud of you and your wonderful level headed comments to their nastiness....Even I get flamers, and many of my friends who best me in the world of art....You my dear are what I call the heart of a sunset, so wonderful so beautiful, full of vivid colors and alive, Intense, but it must always be followed by the darkness, but remember once you past the darkness, there is the bright light of the sunrise heart! you are going to make something of yourself why Cause YOU have heart and I believe in you. And as I look around I see many others believe in you as well. Email me anytime....I promise to keep in touch. I will always be here for you.
hugs Constance | |

Did I miss something???? Since when do people, who haven't got the courage to even leave their name, have the right to critisize and even more to offend this girl?? SHE has courage. She shows her work because she loves to draw and wants to get better. If MR. NO NAME really is THAT good at drawing, why isn't he able to give some constructive critisism, instead of senseless babble? And WHY is he too much of a coward to show us some of his magnificent works, to prove his statements?
Anyway, I can give you only one advice, Constance. Ignore that darn B@st@rd and keep on trying. No one startet out as a perfect artist. You work may look simple at the moment, but you sure have a lot of talent. Keep on practising and show those little boys how good you are.
Bye Judith ^_^ | |
| 19 Jul 2003 | Steph Salt | Loading...You know what I admire about your art Constance, you add backgrounds, not to all of them but even that is more than many your age care to do. All artists have to learn and the most important thing is paint for yourself first and don't stop learning. The second most important thing is ask for help and buy books on anatomy and art, or borrow them from a library. | |
| 20 Jul 2003 | Kate Dawidziak | Loading...This may get wordy, I hate seeing someone being slapped down so early in their adventure. Connie, don't worry about being "better" than anyone. In art that means two things: jack and shhhh-cacky Measure yourself on your -own- improvement not in contrast to someone else's current ability. Look at something you drew a year ago and compare it to something you've drawn recently. In a year's time do the same. That's where your worth as an artist can be found, in improving your art. One can be "good" but if they're stagnating then they will go precisely nowhere. If you have the passion and the yarbles to put the work into it, you can be great. It doesn't matter how old you are or what level you're on, this applies across the board to all of us. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You have a good start. You have -talent- and ideas worth rendering. If you want to develop further get the skills now, as early as possible, before the bad habbits take hold. Steph noted about the backgrounds, and she's right, that's a very good thing to start doing early! At 13 no one is teaching you solid drawing methods at school and probably won't until college. Elfwood has just as many pro's and pro-level amatuers as it does beginners. Take advantage of us! There is so much information available to you here that the sheer stupidity of those asking 'why bother posting your work here?' is mind boggling. I wish I'd had access to this type of knowledge base at 13! And believe me, my drawings were not all that disimilar to yours at that age. You're well on your way and doing fine. Don't take to heart the comments of social leeches. I believe Steph sent you a link to The Garden and it's Forum. She's one of the happy Moderators and I'm one of the happy Admin's. It's a good group that will never knock you down and could really give you some good tips. A little on the looney side but no one bites Jessica the Mistress of Canned-Meat-Like Substances also a regular. Girl should come with a warning label: Travels with Arty Posse *laugh* Note to the Flaming Meanies: Grow up. You're playing in an adult community, if you must behave like children go play on a children's site. Mind well who you spread your acid remarks to. You don't think you're anonymous because you didn't type in your name do you? *snarky grin* | |
| 16 Sep 2003 | Andrea Forrest | Loading...I really like all of your work! You seem to especially have a lot of talent with drawing animals. Your work is really impressive, especially considering you're only 13. (You're better than me, and I'm 13 too!) You seem to have deleted a lot of mean comments before I discovered your gallery, but everyone else who's commented on your main page seem to have seen them, so I approve of your deleting their rude comments! Snaps for you! You're growing rapidly as an artist, and I hope to see more updates from you in the future And to any flammers who might come here and see my comment: It's all right to not like someone's work, and it's all right to tell them what they need to improve. If you don't like the work, don't leave a comment (although all of your work is great, Constance, so I don't know how anyone could not apreciate your talent and creativity). If you see something that could be improved, it's best to say it kind of like this: "I really like this, but this could be improved, and here's how." Okay, I just had to say that, but I doubt anybody who's just here to make fun of your work and tell you how much better than you they are will actually read that. Anyway, keep up the great work, Constance, and keep practicing! Huggles, Andrea | |
