Whoot! Messiness with shadows and highlights! ^^
Quite rough, but that, I must say, only adds to it... I think the spray stuff I used is what caused it to be so rough. It was an acrylic spray....much less expensive that the fixative. Next time, I am going to use hairspray. Seems to hold better anyway....and not just hair! Lol. I have a new work that I am currently waiting to post, and it looks almost like velvet.

The white on black makes a great effect! I like his eye, it looks so thoughtful... I am planning on doing another of these...and this time, I think I'll add just a touch of color. It's a lot of fun, too. Especially if you don't mind getting messy.

i like it ...but I think you should do something besides horses. Thanks. I'm glad you like it. You opinion is greatly valued. Thank you for voiceing it, but horses are what I do best, and that's what I intend to stick with. Do you tell others that, too? The ones that strictly have one subject in their galleries? I know that there are many on here like that. If I think I am comfortable enough with trying something new, then I may do it. Until then, horses it is.

The head just looks great... anatomically perfect! I also like the "white-on-black"-theme of this, as I have some pictures with a lot of black spaces in it, and a few white lines
But these were made with ink, so I left the white spaces alone, while I was falling the other areas with black. Here you brought the white colour directly to the black background. Again, a good piece of art. What about you draw his entire body the next time... Wow, thanks! I'm glad you like him. It's actually fun to do the entire background in black, although quite messy...but that's the whole fun part of it. Lol. I hadn't thought about actually drawing the entire thing, though. That's a good idea. Thank you! I'll definitely try and see if I can't do that.

Cool way of drawing; I've tried it some times but never got it as light as I wanted. x) Which you seem to have..
I like the headset on this one much more than on one of your others. It has a clear, poweful feeling in it too, and not only because of the black and white
Thanks, Zabina. I'm glad you like him. He's a favorite of mine. I'm not sure about the lightness...unless it has something to do with the different qualities of charcoal. I do enjoy doing these, though. I guess it's because it's so messy. Lol. I like the powerful feeling is seems to show, as well. Someone suggested a full body of him...I may do that soon. Thanks for stopping by!

He looks incredible and very fierce! You are also amazing at horse eyes, i never get it right! Robyn *Copperhead* Lee
replies: "Thank you! Sometimes, though, I think the eyes aren’t quite right... I’m thinking about doing him full-bodied...someone suggested that in an older comment.....*taps chin in thought*"

wow..i really love the effect of the white on black, very stark...his eye really speaks to you, it has such an arrogant spark in it! Really cool! Robyn *Copperhead* Lee
replies: "I hadn’t really thought about it, but he does have an arrogance about him, doesn’t he? I love doing these...they are so messy, but that’s the whole fun thing in it. "
