This is a work I did on canvas....I decided one day to try something a little different, so, intead of paint, I used chalk pastels.....I was rather pleased with how it turned out.  I am currently working on two other pieces....one with be done in chalk pastels, and the other will be my first ever oil.

WOW!!!  I had no idea that this one had been added as part of a tour.......just does to show how much attention I pay.  Although, the other one that's in a tour was asked about first.......but this is cool!  Makes me feel great!  Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it! You have the gift with pastels! hehe. LOVE IT!

1 Robyn *Copperhead* Lee replies: "Thank you, Larka! I do love working with the chalks. They blend so easily! I think that's part of why I'm procrastinating on using my oils! Lol. "

This is my favorite head study of yours, love the colors and pose 2

2 Robyn *Copperhead* Lee replies: "Thank you much! I just had the wild idea one day to try the chalks on canvas, and was rather pleased at how it turned out. I am thinking about doing more. This one was the first piece I had done in a while....it's taken me almost a year to get back into my art. I'm glad I'm getting back in....I've really missed it."

2 Robyn *Copperhead* Lee replies: "Thank you! I actually did this one on a whim...I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I definitely liked the finished result. I am thinking about doing another one soon."

Those chalk pastels look neat! I like the shading of the blue mane, and the pose is wonderfully spirited.Thank you! I don't know what it was, but all I know was that I saw the canvas sitting there gathering dust and thought, I wonder how chalks would look on that? So, I did it, and I like the result. I will probably do another, as well. The chalks seem to blend easier on the canvas...maybe it's the texture? But I'm glad you like it.

I like this. I think the composition works and the flowing hair is lovely to look at - you chose the colours well. Thank you! I'm glad you like him. I wasn't sure what colors I wanted. I'm pleased with how he turned out.
