Yes, the horse inside is based off of one of the VERY old Breyer models. Unfortunately I had to wing it as I didn’t have the actual model on hand."

Wonderful body language... And i admire your skills with pastel!!! I've tried that before and it's so difficult... Good job !!! My congrats for your star !!!

| 2 Dec 2007 | Michelle Tolo | Loading...Great colours here, and the unicorns and the horse are beautifully drawn! And I really like the broken window; it's like an opening between two worlds. Fantastic! And congratulations on the Mod's Choise -Michelle | |
| 2 Dec 2007 | Elina Vähä-Mäkilä | Loading...This is done with pastels? Wow, lovely work! I especially like the lighting of the horse on the foreground. I love pastels since they create so beautiful soft colours, but I'm not very good with them myself (have to practice more). | |
| 3 Dec 2007 | Eva Nadine Dossett | Loading...Woa, thats neat. i like the broken glass on the ledge. very nice. and the unicorns and horse are gorgeous | |
| 9 Dec 2007 | Green Phoenix | Loading...I love the contrast of the black/grey of the sculpted horse and the lively white and green of the unicorns and also how the Faery, world of dreams and wonder, seems to break into the more mundane, ’dead’ one with the broken window and the invading ivy. What could it be? Could it be a house abandoned by humans, around which a forest has grown and which now stands on the borders of the faery land? Or could it be that the poor soul trapped in the horse statue dreams of freedom and running for the magnificent unicorns amid the sunlit meadow? Your image invites many ideas... in itself not a small achievement! ~#G Cori E. R. Trout replies: "Thank you for your wonderful comment (sorry for the late reply, I didn’t even know this image received mod’s choice until recently!). It’s good to know that this drawing invites so much speculation and stories from each of the viewers (and even many from a single one!)." | |
