Corina Garza

I have been attending the University of Texas in Austin where I am working towards a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Business. Most of my work is done in old-fashioned black and white pencil, but I do like to dabble in various medias. I'm also rather fond of watercolour and gouache, which I intend to work with more in the near future.

I have been drawn to the fantasy genre my entire life, and it brings me great happiness to express my ideas of fantasy through my artwork. I find inspiration in many things, from the many books I read (when I should be reading textbooks for class) to the works of other artists. From the music I enjoy to the unfortunate amount of hours I spend playing certain video games, and from classical mythology and old legends. Anything that catches my fancy... You can find many of those inspirations randomly in my work, through no intentional fault on my part. Unless of course I mention it ;)

The story is called "Deity", and is about an angel-type creature's job as a 'watcher', who observes humans throughout the ages and reports to Deity, a genderless, ageless entity.
