Yet another poem...:P This one's cute, though; it's about a little girl, begging her babysitter to tell her a story. |

Tell Me A Story
"Oh, tell me a story of times long
ago
Of knights wearing armor, with steeds white as snow
Of
dragons with bright scales and teeth long as knives
Of pirates
and soldiers that fought for their lives
"And please
don't forget all the faeries and things;
Of rubbing a lamp, and
the luck that it brings.
Of bright, golden palaces, castles with
moats;
And even the villain, who foolishly gloats.
"Oh,
tell me of princes, I ask you, my friend
and don't disappoint
with a 'well, that's the end'
Just tell me the story that I long
to hear
A great tale of courage, of love and of fear
Don't
tell me it's bed-time, I really do know
But I'd like a story
before I must go."
The child begged, and she begged, but
shockingly then
she fell fast asleep as I went to begin!
