"Golden Girl" by Corly iris galloway

This is a self-designed myth. It is about a girl who is beautiful and smart and talented, and so her family and friends expect everything from her, they push and push and push, expecting her to do something amazing. She works hard, though she doesn't want to, to give them what they want, and their greed slowly turns her to gold. First her hair begins to turn gold, and then her skin and clothing, and soon everything she touches is gold. So everyone who pushed her to succeed comes asking  to touch her again, and feel the gold themselves, to be part of the glory. But when they touch her they become golden statues, pretty but useless. They all get what they wanted. To steal her golden breams, and become golden and miserable themselves.
