This is an old one of mine, I made it trying to kill time, travelling by train. it is one out of a seriaof drawings with an elemental theme, this one is the element lead in alchemy (lead is also symbul of death and Saturnus, I believe). From my father I got a small collection of animal bones, skulls, jaws, teeth, and so on. Material I can use as reference in drawings (and which in this case became the throne of the figure).

Nice job on the bones--I've been fighting something called a bone demon for months in my RPG campaign, and this is sort of a nice face to put on it. (Well, not NICE, but you get my drift.)

I guess I would like to see some ground for the character and other elements to sit upon, and some background. The background wouldn't even have to be that much, just a suggestion of a cave, or an eerie forest or something would help. The pencilling looks a little muddy - I would say outline everything more crisply like you did for the main figure. As for the main character, people would tell you that his forearms are too long I think, but I personally am not bothered by exaggerated anatomy, especially if that is what you intended. I think you did an excellent job rendering this guy, I like the sort of muscled look to his face (and he certainly looks like he is not so nice). The circular composition with the bones is really good too. Background is a bit vague I agree, forearms are too long, did it on purpose. This picture had a very chaotic creation. I started to doodle a sitting figure, decided he should sit on something as bony as he was, drew a few lines of skeletons, decided that it should be a kind of creature and called that a bonedemon, however I didn't succeed, focus point is still on the sitting figure...Thanks Ken, for your very useful comments!!2) I'll send you an email with a more extensive reaction.
