I think you represented the rain very well. And good job on drawing skeletal birds, that must have been tricky. Heehee! I love the pixie in the tree! Great job telling the story too! *sniffs indignantly and protests that he DID send an email to treena to let her know, but cannot prove it right now since he sent it from work. I'll check tomorrow and make sure I had the correct address...*I have a picture of an early version of this drawing where I sketched a bird skeleton (from some web page) so I could reference it while drawing the birds. It was in the lower-left, now covered by shrubs. Also, I have to confess about the rain: I was unsure how to do it and didn't want to ruin the drawing, so I faked the rain in Photoshop after scanning, but the rainclouds are genuine...used a kneaded eraser for those.

The DM understood that you have to make these things FUN, not just one battle after another. It's interesting how rarely anyone understands that point; I must have played over a dozen computer RPG's before I played one where they really had fun with the characters (Baldur's Gate II). TV makes the same mistake when it tries to do fantasy or SF. (E.g., while the original Star Trek often had fun with the characters -- Harry Mudd, Tribbles -- all the later Trek series seemed to take themselves far too seriously.) The DM for this campaign should be hired by some producer to teach the writers how to have fun with fantasy or SF. This scene is absolutely precious, and of course you drew it very well, as usual. You might do the best job of drawing groups of characters interacting that I have seen anywhere in the 'Woods.
