January 2007.  Okay.  So last summer, I discovered a Faery Tower infesting my desk. Back then, when I was young and foolish (remember that this was last summer), I naively believed that, finding themselves intimidated by my relatively gigantic presence, the wee fiends would dismantle their annoying little towers and hie them to fairer climes (such as, possibly, the auto mechanics' shop next-door, where the auto mechanics often host irritatingly loud parties on the weekends).

Little did I know, however, my troubles with these pesky faeries had only begun! Before I could say "Bamalama!" they moved all their pesky pixie paraphernalia into their aforementioned towers. As I soon discovered, the paraphernalia included the little fella you see pictured below.

Most people don't realize this, but faeries don't always fly and flit everywhere. Their wings are really quite sensitive and tire easily--especially when the faeries are transporting their tower-building equipment. Therefore, they often rely on their favorite alternate form of transportation: The Trusty Steed, also known as The Faery Dragon.

Perturbing as the faeries are, I have to admit that I like this little guy. He's adorable! Poor little thing sniffed my finger (he has no eyes, as you can see; Faery Dragons are blind by nature, y'know), then tried to nibble on my nails. But he's quite harmless, and much more enjoyable to live with than his flighty owners!  I love his curvy little nose!

Candle wax, MGI Photosuite, and my brain.
