I must agree with you on the Gary Oldman thing...personally I think Johnny Depp would be a good choice...he's old enough, he's a GREAT actor, and hey...he can do a british accent pretty well! *ahem* Sorry about that. I just love the fifh element because it is my first memory of a sci fi that I could relate to. Harry potter is being ruined by the cast. I mean, the descriptive books get you used to your own idea of the character and then BAM!!! Sirius does not look like that...impostor! Snape had a much thinner face... And sometimes I just want to get harry with a sniper rifle. *grin* Not that I need to share that with you nice people... Anytime you need to torture the director into a contract to change the cast, consult me and my literature.

It is a very good thing that Gary Oldman plays the part because then we don't get one image suck in our heads of what he looks like and can come up with our own. Besides, the actor would have turned into another Legolas-Orlando Bloom thing...I don't mind, I have my imagination.
