Sorry I have been out of reach for a long time. I have been working hard on my third artbook, and that took all my time. I will try to keep this gallery more updated in the next weeks, and will also try to answer your messages =). Thanks for your patience.

This is a commissioned artwork for the cover of the book "La mujer en la sombra" (translated as "The woman in the shadow") for the X International Festival of Fantastic and Horror Cinema of Estepona (Spain). The book featured texts about the woman in films and comic of scifi, horror and fantasy genre, and they wanted a classic feel of horror story on the picture.

Done in Photoshop, don't know how many hours since I was working on other projects at the same time. Close-ups here.

I love the glow of the lantern and the way it reflects in her eyes, I also love the muted colors used through out the piece, it gives it a spooky feel. The little details in the lace and jewelry add alot of interest to the piece as well!

Everything about this is amazing! The eyeballs in the jar, her elaborite jewels, the haunted look in her eyes, the black cat (that looks just like my cat--eyes and all)--just wonderful!!

The patterns and paraphernalia are fun, but SHE really makes the picture. I feel like she’s looking into me, and I can’t tell if she’s almost ready to invite me to join her, or if I’m an unwanted interruption to her plans.
