Tag As FavoriteComment		A more Eastern-looking dragon than I usually do, with a typical cloudscape in the background. I learned a lot about how not to so skies with colored pencil in my 'Look before you Leap' picture and was able to get a more even look on this one by drawing very very hard with the pencil and going over it many many times. I used up about half a blue pencil, but it was worth it. My scanner faded the gray shading on the clouds out a lot.

Very cool. My only suggestion, though, would be to make the body parts (i.e. tummy, tail, leg, etc.) behind the wings more faded, so that the wings doen't look too weak (ya jknow, like you could poke a pencil through it), and then maybe to add a a blue color to the lighter sections of the wings, to show the blue from the sky shining through.

This pic is soooo beautiful! I love the technique and shading. It's a bit awkward position-wise, but what the heck? Overall, it's an awesome pic.
