A great picture! I love the hunting look of the gryphon, the dawn colours of the background and the shadowing!
Griffin is kind of correct. There are many versions how you can write that word. I myself write gryphon...

Wow, love those feathers.. the banding on them is great. **looks up at the first commentor** It's "goodness..." Not Goddess.. ^__^ Tehehehheh! Wonderful pose and background too... I would have, perhaps.. given the beak a lighter color but it doesn't take away from the picture and everygryph doesn't have to be the same.

Another piece well done. Once more I must praise the hind leg muscles, the natural dominant pose, a wonderful background and I really like the eyes, it shows off more of the strength of the beast, I also enjoy the color of the feathers, please keep them coming.

Very nicely done. Any of the following are considered correct spellings as far I know. Griffin, Griffon, or
Gryphon (I tend to prefer the later). Not that it matters.

There are actually over 20 correct ways to spell "griffin." The three most common are griffin, gryphon, and griffon. And they are N-O-T not stupid!!! :=(
