This is Aziraphale from the book 'Good Omens' by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Here is our angel and part-time rare book dealer, sat in his bookshop at his desk and drinking a cup of tea whilst having a good read. (Hmm ... does that book look familiar to anyone?) Although he is not in angelic form at the moment, the lamplight and arrangement of the books behind him give a clear indication of his true nature. This picture took me ages, especially drawing all those books and painting all the shadows. This is for all those who commented on my other G/O pics and asked me to do more. Well, here you go. Enjoy.

Hah! Now that is clever! And in watercolors too, wow! 2 I love all the books and things, I never have the patience to get things like bookshelves and desks right.

:-) Laura F. Crites replies: "Thanks! It took a lot of patience for me to get through drawing, inking and painting the books and shelf. It got annoying very quickly! I'm really happy with how it turned out though so all the hard work was worth it. "

Prettypretty cleverclever...I like azzy, but not as much as I like crowley - can you do him next?

:-) Laura F. Crites replies: "I probably will do a picture of Crowley eventually. Just gotta get all my Uni work out of the way first! Thank you for dropping by!"

I love the creativity of the wings and halo! That's so cool!

:-) Laura F. Crites replies: "Thank you! I'm glad you like it!"

This piece is brilliant! I so struggle with coming up with original ideas that I must admire your sterling creativity. The idea alone is gold but you also rendered it beautifully. I haven't read Good Omens yet, and I mean yet. I know I won't be disappointed.

I love Terry Pratchett because his humor is so clever while pretending to be otherwise. The books are like an inside joke for all the readers which makes for great fun when discussing a particular passage while in the company of a non-Pratchett-rearder. At work I love turning to my co-worker (new Pratchett fan) and asking her if her luggage has eaten anyone lately. Everyone else in earshot gets priceless looks of confusion on their faces.

Now, let's all sing the Hedgehog song...

:-) Laura F. Crites replies: "Thank you for such a lovely comment. Another Terry Pratchett fan, fantastic! I love his books so much. Hehe, that Nanny Ogg and her drunken singing! "

is This the Part where he's reading The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, where is Cup of hot chocolate Milk Turns cold, and ís getting a bit moldy? ^^

Great Drawing, It's really The Aziraphale I had in my head.
Well done =D

:-) Laura F. Crites replies: "It isn't that part, but I wish I'd remembered that bit when I was making this picture! 2 I had the idea of the shelf of books in the shape of wings, and just thought i'd draw Az in his bookshop having a read. The book he's reading is the paperback version of Good Omens that I have ^_^"

That is really good- it must have taken ages to do the books. I've never had the patience to do bookshelves. The lamp in the background is clever and I wonder has he noticed his electrically powered halo?

I searched good omens (my favorite book) on Google ages ago, and fond one of your pictures on it. I just remembered how much I liked your work and came back! Its really great you’ve done loads more stuff. I love imagining stuff similar to your work, but sadly I am not as arty, my talent is with writing.
