Like many of the works in my gallery, this one is old (roughly 12 years or so). The muscle tone is a little more exaggerated and there is slightly less shading than in my newer works. I still put it among my favored peices, though. It was done entirely in pencil.

i love the attention to detail and the feeling put into your work...however, you got the equine portioning wrong...it probably isnt something one would notice unless they were a horse person however so it isnt a big deal...i just thought id let you know...the horse 's tummy would be a bit bigger where it connects to the hind quarters and his legs arent shaped quite like that.... but the rest is beautiful....again...i love the attention to detail...i dont have the aptience for that

Great detail on the centaur, especially in muscles, even if they are exagerrated. The sword and axe are AWESOME, original in design and well-drawn. The background is great, too, I love the evergreens.

The muscles are great. And I agree that it is dramatic. My gripe is that it looks like a man sitting on a horses severed neck. Umm... that is, theres no transition from man to horse, and the mans body seems a bit small in comparison to the horse. I'm trying to say these thigns without infringing on poetic license, bear with me 2

overall I like it.

Its very nicely drawn, but the horse seems to have some made up muscles....perhaps you should look into equine anatomy? That is, only if you care about getting it precise. If you don't really care, then nevermind. 12

Overall nice pic though, don't get me wrong. Good composition and everything. 2

Finally a centaur who doesn't have a pony as a body =)
Although I must say most horses don't have a waist like that... But hey, maybe he just pulled the sword girth thingy too tight ^^
