He's one of the working class dwarves. Though he may never slay a dragon, or delve deep into the dungeon of some mad wizard, he will will be there in spirit, as his brethren put the fruits of his labor to use.

Congratulations on Moderator's Choice. Another handsome dwarf added to your gallery! I, too, like the anvil. It alone is a fine example of dwarven artistry.

A well-deserved mod's choice! Beautiful pencilwork, congratulations!

gorgeous work. SUggestion though, to fix the too light nature of it. If you have Photoshop (And even if not, most progs that come with the scanner should have this option somewhere) run an unsharp mask over it. Keepthe threshold at 0 or 1, and the other two fairly high til you get it where you like it. That should darken the lines without bringing out the flaws (or creating them) in your paper (like erasure points) that tend to show up with a darken option.
Good luck!

I like it. Too bad it's too light, but then again, scanners do do that sometimes. SO great job!

Ahhh, very interesting. Do you have a story for it? Very detailed, and just, good! Good job!

This is a great pic. I haven't seen many Dwarf pics on Elfwood. Keep up the good work. I love the way you did this.

I saw someone talking about Drwarven women having beard, according to Forgotten Realms (which was created by Wizards of the Coast- the authority on all things fantasy and fantasy related), the answer is no. The only people who think Dwarven women would have beards are Tolkein fans.

Man, I don't know whats better.. The picture or the description. Loving it, great work!
