SciFi and Fantasy Art Skyleah! As an... Anime? by Crystal Gail Meere

Well.. this was about as close as I get to drawing Anime. I really liked the picture, and so did the character's creator/owner, my Quis. I had asked her if she wanted me to draw an anime of Skyleah and it was a harrowing experience. At one point during the drawing, the outline of dear sweet Skyleah looked like a TELETUBBIE! She wanted em to burn the picture, it scared her so badly, but I persevered and managed to convert it back into something that I could display without fearing death threats and hate mail!

We don't care for you're opinion on subject matter, if you don't like nudes than don't look at the pictures. Sky's nose in this picture is no more unrealistic than any other anime nose, its just a different style. I like it, and I am the only one that matters. neener.
28 Jan 2002	Synder	Loading... I have to agree with the Fruitcake, here. There -is- a difference between constructive critisism and pointing out what you don't like. And yeah, don't like looking at nudes form, easy. Don't look! And personally I think the anime-Sky's nose is cute. So there.

9 May 2002	Crystal Gail Meere	Loading... Ah, that was why it's titled with a question mark "anime?" and it says this is as close to anime as I got. I never claimed it was Anime, just closer to it than my own usual style is all. I think her nose is cute too, if a bit odd looking in general.
18 Sep 2002	Alagulmaiel	Loading... After looking at so many wonderful Anime pictures and sketches, I've been inspired to do Anime myself. However, I've only really done pastels and images of people...I've never really tried animation, but this is really intriguing for me. And seeing your picture inspires me all the more! Good work
2 Dec 2002	Heather R. Davis	Loading... Well, I must say the nose did stick out to me. :-P It's quite unique, actually - but cute, none the less. I can picture a little cherry blush on her had the picture been coloured. I absolutely love the hair! I've never drawn a character with braided hair before, but then i usually draw my Roleplay characters and none of them like to braid their hair. I'll try it some time, regardless. As for my 'constructive criticism', I think her left ear (to our right) is a bit too far set forward, noticeable once compared to the other.
