| 9 Dec 2003 | Alicia E. Alfaro | Loading...Good for you!! That is awesome! That's a challenging angle to draw, but you did it so well! WOW! I love the bright colors, too! ^_^ C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! " | |
| 9 Dec 2003 | Tanya Marie Moore | Loading...Brilliant! And done with such unusal mediums, well at least I could never work with 'em! I'll stick to colored pencils and markers! I love the blues and the powerful feel of this piece! I long for Mod's choice but feel as tho I shall never achieve that lofty goal.=( Maybe eventually but I can't be sad in the presence of greatness! This pic truly deserves it! Kudos!!=) C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! I never would have thought to mix the mediums before either. Guess I just figured I'd take a crack at it and see what happened. I'm quite pleased with the results *grin*" | |
| 9 Dec 2003 | Amanda 'Kirrari' Morta | Loading...All I can really manage to say w/out hyperventilating for sheer joy is that it fills me with a feeling of immense power if that means anything at all. I'll stop b4 I start rambling. congrats! C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! It is a rather powerful composition. Even I couldn't stop staring at the finished product. This is by far one of the most complex pieces I've done." | |
| 9 Dec 2003 | Athene | Loading...Whoa! Those feathers must have taken you forever! What a lovely picture! Congratulations on MODS Choice! C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! The skin (face & arms) took about 1-2 hours. The wings I worked on for three days... I'd say a good 30 hours total on the wings. The rest came in a few more hours... all totaled, I think I spent about 40 hours on this piece." | |

| 9 Dec 2003 | Muffin Queen | Loading...Whoa...amazing perspective...like you're on the surface of the water and she's rising above...but that was the point, wasn't it? XD I love her wings, by the way...they're amazing! Congrats on the Mod's Choice, too. ~Queen of the Muffins C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! " | |
| 15 Dec 2003 | Yuki Erika Radcliffe | Loading...wow, i LOVE the wings. this is amazing, i wish i could do this. i mean, the colors and the shading and the angle it's drawn at is impossible for me to do. congrats on mod's choice, you definitely deserved it. C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you I don't know what, but drawing from the "worm's eye view" appeals to me. I guess it's because that perspective is so dramatic." | |
| 4 Jan 2004 | Rosemary Jennifer Wong | Loading...Oooh pretty~! I love the angle (and the angel ) and the wings are gorgeous. that circle of water is a nice touch too. Good choice for mediums...*is definately not a water colour artist* I use white acrylic sometimes for highlight... but again good line art and stellar colour work. Another fun combo is oil pastels with colour pencils a little messy but quite fun. Congrats on the Mod choice (although belated) C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Actually, there's no oil pastels on this at all. It's all Prismacolor (TM) coloured pencils (the angel) with a light touch of Derwent (TM) watercolour pencils for the background clouds and more Prismacolor (TM) for the circle of water with highlights and splashes of acrylic.Right now it's at the framer getting ready for an art show Wish me luck!" | |
| 24 Mar 2004 | Wendy Bittnerová | Loading...WOW! Congrats on the Mod's Choice...this is a really powerful pic and I love the detail to the wings and your great choice of colors. Wonderful pic! C.S.L. teutelquessir McKeand replies: "Thank you! This was my first (and thus far only) Mod's Choice. I'm still dancing on air!" | |
