	I was experimenting with some new materials in preparation for ConDFW and wound up with several mermaids. This is the first, loosely based on my son's guppies. Prisma markers & white ink, tweaked in PS7

31 Jul 2004	Jeniece N. McDonald	Loading... I love how the crosshatching higlights suggest scales. That is so clever and neat. I need to learn how to do that. Also I like how where the tail joins the body emulates the buttocks and hips. Its very pretty.

23 Sep 2004	Dark Lady	Loading... Alright I love it all, but there are a few things i need to comment on. One: the gills on her stomach are a really nice, neat touch and add a sense of 'realness' to the picture. the way the hair flows in the direction she's heading and as if it's in water is great most people screw up on that but you got it down pat. I love the tail although it does look a little off, but the color and shading for the entire picture (especially the highlights) are amazing. I am really impressed.
