SciFi and Fantasy Art Sheena of the Savannah by Christi Smith Hayden

I had originally intended to have this picture ready in time for AnthroCon but since I have FenCon and Necro coming up, I went ahead and finished it up. I got hooked on 'The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency' on HBO (based on the books by Alex McCall Smith) which gave me the idea for the pic. I used pic references for both the spear, the pose, and the background. The only down side was discovering after I scanned it that the kente cloth border wasn't even. I had to go in and straighten it out in Photoshop.

Still, a pretty decent pic. I'll be saving it for Furry Fiesta in February 2010.
