And here we have a Chibi-Gojyo (from the anime 'Saiyuki') happily clinging to a cucumber. One of my friends saw this picture and accused me of being perverted, so before anyone here does the same, let me explain. For those who don't know, Gojyo is a half-demon. His father was a Kappa, which is a type of water-demon found in Japanese mythology. Acording to the myths, Kappas can be brutal, but if one comes after you, you can distract him by giving him a cucumber. So in short, Kappas like cucumbers; Gojyo is half-kappa, Thus, the picture below. . . . though if you really want to think of the cucumber as a phallic symbol, heaven knows Gojyo's a perverted enough character that that works too. . .
