Let’s see if we can move this along, Uploading your picture. First, make sure the file size of the picture you’re uploading is not larger than 1,000 x 1,000 pixels as described by Elfwood.

Now let’s walk through it:

Name the picture something easy to remember, don’t let the computer do it. "Faery on the Moon" is easier to find than DSC21322ESA. 9

Okay next: Log in, go to your page, click on the Profile Tab, you will be taken to your profile page.

Next, click on the long black "Edit Your Profile" button. You will be taken to Elfwood’s Extranet.

On the right side of your screen you will see a list of labeled, wooden-looking tabs. Near the bottom will be one labeled, Upload Here ==> Click on that.

Next will be a page with something telling what is expected of your art, as in, is it original because copies of other work is not permitted.

Click on the part that says, Read and Understood.
Click on where it says Upload Picture

You will be taken to another page that will ask if you are uploading a new picture or replacing one. Click on the long button with the new picture option.

Now you should be at a long page with several instructions on it. At the top will be a button that says, Upload Picture. Click on that and a list of files on your computer will come up. I put mine on the desktop so I can find it easier.

Choose the file by clicking on the file you want and it will be pulled in.
Next, fill in the category-- High Fantasy, science fiction, etc.
Write in the title of the picture.
Next, write what the picture is about, why you did it, is there a meaning to it, things like that.

End Part One:

Part Two:

Next, where it says Picture Text Keywords write down words that describe the picture. So if it’s a dragon, you can write something like, lizards, lizard, dragon, wings, teeth, fire, etc-- anything that helps identify the picture. That way when someone is looking for a dragon picture, they might find your picture(s).

Next, what is the picture category, check off the boxes that apply.
What is the picture theme? Check off boxes that apply.

Next, there will be Picture Techniques, or what did you use to make the picture. Check as many that apply.

Next will be a list of other artists and writers and such asking if any of these inspired you. Checking these is optional.

The Last box-- yay! made it. Is asking you if you want your art copywritten. In other words, is it okay for others to use it without your permission, or absolutely not. For no one to use anything of yours, click on the last box; All Rights Reserved. That means you have all rights to your work and nothing can be used without asking you.

Lastly, click on the Upload Button at the bottom of the page.

Part Three:

By now you should be taken to another page with, Upload completed successfully, got 54924 bytes. Number used as example, yours may vary.

Next, go to the list on the right with Publish Changes with the thumbs-up icon. Click on that.

Next and finally, you will see another screen that will ask if you want the ticket to go through. Or you can delete the ticket if you think you made a mistake or want to start over. Make the ticket go through, and that’s it. All done.

The average time it takes a ticket to go through is 10 days. I’ve updated in minutes, I’ve waited 10 days myself. It all depends on how much of a work load the Moderators have. You will be notified by email when your ticket is published. If there are problems, you will also be let known by email.

Click out of all screens. All done. Good luck, and welcome to Elfwood.

It looks like a lot of work to upload, but it only takes a few minutes to do.

I just looked at your Deviant Art site and your oil paintings and pictures are wonderful. I liked Oil Painting III, and the "Latest Oil Painting." They’re all good, and I know you will get many fans here if you posted your fantasy art. But remember, the art must follow the guidelines of being fantasy such as faerys, dragons, knights, Maybe something with Chinese lore, Chinese fairy tales, Chinese myths and legends.

If for some reason you don’t upload pictures here, you can keep this account open just to collect and say, hi to people you meet.

I also liked that it looked like you paint different ways, from realism to slightly impressionistic.

:-) Curryq wort saic replies: "my friend,I have removed my paitings here.I decide to upload them again these days.but there is something wrong.so I can’t ."

You might try deleting this account and trying again with a new account here. That’s what I did. You will lose all your comments here so write down the people on this page. But deleting and starting over might be the best way to get your art page started again. Or contact tech support, they’re here to help you. Up to you. 13

What specifically is the problem? As you say, there is something wrong, what are they telling you?

You absolutely must start a gallery here, even if you have to start a new account! Your paintings, Yesterday’s Women, The Newest, and Oil Painting 4 looks like they were done by Masters. You do excellent work! 22
