The larger version of the photo on the top of my gallery. I think I used at least 4 different programmes to get the hand-drawn painting of the little dragon and the photo of me together. I suppose that serves me right for having no other graphic programme more advanced that Ms Paint and Photo-editor. Permission from photographer is obtained. Painted 13-3-2005.

This picture is so cool! It looks so realistic. I like the dragon. It is cute. How old are you in the picture? Is it a recent picture!

I feel for you, as I am in a similar bind as far as photo and picture editing programs are concerned. Excellent job though, I'm sure it must have been pretty painstaking. It's a cute picture.

You need gimp! http://www.gimp.org/ It’s a totally free image editor that you can do just about everything on. Lovely gallery!

:-) Sarah Cuypers replies: "Thank you, I have found gimp a few months ago, unfortunately I have not had time to tinker and learn with it."

Excellent work!! you added the little Dragon so expertly to the photo, and you struck the perfect pose for this picture. Were you really holding something , or just imagining your dragon there? Many Actors say it is very difficuly to act when doing blue-or green-screen work, since they are having to talk or seem to interact with thin air! of course then the animated creatures are put in with CG effects. But anyway, you certainly did a nice job.P.S.- my wife Lynn (Purple Dragoness)says it would be really cute to give yourself an old fashioned dress, a princess dress, or peasant girl dress, something like that.

:-) Sarah Cuypers replies: "The picture was originally a very innocent holiday photo. I was holding and looking at a tortoise we had found in the wood. Afterwards, I looked at the photo and it struck me how I could superimpose another image over the tortoise. The dragon was designed to cover all bits of legs and shell.

And thank you very much for tagging it!"

Ah,he’s so cute!What a wonderful picture!
It reminds me of those cartoons we used to watch growing up, where the real life people were interacting with cartoons (It was way before your time!)
Very sweet and I think you did a great job.

:-) Sarah Cuypers replies: "Now that you mention it, I remember having seen that old Disney movie in that style, with real actors and added cartoons. I believe it was called ’Peter and the Dragon’. I haven’t thought of that movie in a very long time."

Try Xara.com for graphic editing... very very user friendly... perfect for stuff like this!

:-) Sarah Cuypers replies: "Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve have since then downloaded GIMP, but I haven’t had time to acquaint myself with it yet."
