SciFi and Fantasy Art Saoirse by Cynthia Lane Armstrong

This is another pic for my friend, and I have no idea why I made her an anthro cheetah with antlers. I guess after doing the Mirroreyes drawing, I was inspired. The funny thing is, they resemble each other, both in the drawings, and in real life. The faint animal images in the background are from Saoirse's totem - you can see a Peregrine falcon, a salamander, a phoenix, and the others are hidden behind the central figure but include a salmon, a mountain lion, and a hummingbird. This is mixed media combined in Photoshop: Prismacolors, ink, and watercolor.

8 Aug 2004	C. Thompson	Loading... Interesting concept. Again, very well done. I especially like the spots on the coat. The pattern looks incredibly natural and not forced. Wonderful job on that. The only thing that somewhat bothers me about the picture is that it's not a practical combination. Though no one said an anthro had to be practical. I'm just being picky. I love the background, kudos on that. The image looks fantastic. Cynthia Lane Armstrong replies: "It isn't supposed to "make sense" - it's supposed to be a spiritual representation of Ellen. Most anthros aren't practical no matter how you look at it (and I think most of them are ridiculous) - there's a reason why there aren't that many biped mammals out there."
