There are multiple artists I “blame” for both the inspiration on this one and his name. Tina Purin’s “Untitled” (her version of a hatchling) inspired me to both make him, and make him in this pose. J’Karrah Ebondragon told me that “you can already tell that he’s going to grow up into a scamp”… which, of course, gave him his name! Isn’t the give-and-take in the art community of Elfwood wonderful?

One of the privileges of having known you for nearly 10 years now, oh Green-One-Of-The-Clays, is a fine sense of how much you've grown as an artist over that time. Scamp is baked proof positive that practice DOES make perfect. I'm not a bit surprised you've won yet another Moderator's Pick! Congratulations on the award, the orders, but most of all for the wonder of creation you've discovered around this new bend in your journey as an the Dragon Lady!!! May many more egg shell fragments litter your days.

Squeee! I LOVE this angle of him - SUCH cuteness. A full set of teeth? Wow. Wow, wow, wow. I am in absolute awe. *bows* Excellent job!

The attention to detail with his scales, teeth, tongue....it's greatly inspiring! Now I just wish I still had some clay left over so I could work on some more! 1 Keep up the wonderful work, it's beautiful.

1 Barbara (Cythtor Dreamchaser) Foster replies: "Thank you! You can't see it very well from any of these pictures, but he's actually got a full *set* of baby teeth, upper lower. Definitely ready for his first meal! ;-)"

Aww. It might sound odd but those little teeth are adorable!

Great detail, but the same goes for all your stuff, I think I have a soft spot for this one though. Real cute.

12 Barbara (Cythtor Dreamchaser) Foster replies: "Yeah, he *is* a cutie, isn't he? (So much for saying I never do "cute!") My first attempt at a hatchling, and I'm actually quite pleased with him. Believe me, there will be more of them, too!"

Awwwww, this is sooo cute. I'm impressed. It's not very often I say anything is cute. ^.^
