SciFi and Fantasy Art Sword of Soulreaver by Dimitry ´Demon´ Bordugov

This is one of the few pics I did in 3D Studio Max 4, I should say you can make good grafix in there, but it takes very long time to learn how to do it, since i am a bit good with it i came up with this picture, I was searching for a way to create nice material for blade part, but came up with that one which i dont particulary like. Oh yeah and the fantasy bit about the sword. This sword is wielded by Soulreaver, many fools tryed to steal it but only to become undead and soul-less. Whoever touches or get hit by this sword will loose his soul and become undead. :)

9 Apr 2003	Karin A. 'Stareye' Cederholm	Loading... What am I going to start with? Ah, well.. The sword is really good, I´m impressed. I like that skull, it shows how bad it is and stuff... I also like the blending effect, and not just the same contrast everywhere. Very good! Dimitry 'Demon' Bordugov replies: "hehe thanx, i like making cool and creepy stuff, this sword came out pretty nice, if i knew how to make some more effects i sure would have done it."

16 Mar 2004	Pokoa	Loading... i never used 3d studio max, (is that it?) buts ive done some 3d. it looks just liek a picture, i was sure you actually owned this sword, but its just 3d??? oh my, you are good! hehehe! anyways, yeah, the handle should be bigger, i would be afraid to brake it! bu tnice work ayways, your story reminds me of the Soulreaver sword from Legacy of Kain. Dimitry 'Demon' Bordugov replies: "3D Studio Max is fun but you will need to invest a lot of time and brainpower to master it Laughing well i learned some basic stuff but I only scratched the surface of what it is capable of."
17 Mar 2004	Pokoa	Loading... i would liek to try i tsomeday, i use GTKRadiant which is to make 3d enviroments for games with the Q3 3d engine. the results are no where as good looking as this! Dimitry 'Demon' Bordugov replies: "I used another 3D program, Bryce or something, that one was easy to use and u can make urself very beautiful landscapes and seascapes and all that kind of thing, less technical skill involved when using that one I got another picture that I done with it, its a ring with a chain, I might post it up later."
