Tag As FavoriteComment		Another mermaid watching a sun set and a lion fish (now called Leo by Melanie 'Coffee Goddess' Wood) swim slowly through the shafts of sunlight in the water. I used a photo that I took for reference for my lionfish, the rest is from a watercolour I did but I didn’t like the colours I had done so i used psp to colour it in differently.

That lionfish is mind-bogglingly good! (Now there's a word for ya!) I love the mermaid's expression - she looks so serene and calm...

Piper 'Daggermaiden' replies: "the lionfish was a late addition to fill up the space and i had recently been to am aquarium so i got the best photo of a lionfish i could find and used it as a reference. well i quite like the face but i still think that eyelashes on her would make it a bit better, i just cant seem to be able to get good eyelashes with my computer *sigh* any ideas?? "

*Agrees with Jess* The Lion fish is great 2. I like the way you've done the mermaid's hair as well, the effect is nice.

Thisis my fav pic in your gallery. Its very peaceful, and that fish is so awesome. I like the colors too!

That lion-fish is excellent Rhiannon! My boss once had a lion-fish and it looked exactly like this one. I named him Leo.
