| 10 Aug 2006 | Kat Minty | Loading...Now this IS beautiful! It's PERFECT! Gimli is so sadly neglected when people are drawing the Fellowship, and it's hard to find quality drawings of him. But THIS! GaH! He left me SOOOOOOOO happy! Excellent work, and congradulations on the Mod's Choice! 'Tis well deserved! Dagmar Jung replies: "I agree Gimli deserves more attention! He is an interesting character in the book, sadly he was reduced to a comic relief sidekick in the movies." | |
| 12 Oct 2006 | Anon. | Loading...I thinks it's among the top 10 pencil pictures I've ever seen. It's not because of the details or supreme technique, but because this picture, if any, is a prime example of dream-like serenity. The style it was drawn with, the look on his face, the fading in the edges and especially the infinite water in the background compliment each other perfectly. It really feels like a dream. Definitely your best work imo. Dagmar Jung replies: "Well, the water was *hell* to draw until it looked halfway good. I'm glad it worked out finally. Yes, serenity and a kind of quietness is what I wanted to depict here." | |
| 20 Nov 2006 | Ebba Forsberg | Loading...Oh my god, this one totally made my day. So realistic and life like...but still in an original and realistic pose. Just love it! Well deserved mods choice!!! Keep up! Dagmar Jung replies: "Thanks you! " | |
| 6 Dec 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Only problem I have is the lack of true black, and that the oar seems to stand out more than the boat.. a simple matter of shading. Regardless, the picture is amazing. You've done one of him thoughtful, now how about jolly? Dagmar Jung replies: "True black is probably a question of scanning and of various screens. I guess my screen is darker than yours (even if I turn mine as light as possible)." | |
